Rm 326 - Monday night

Johnny got moved into his room all right. Though he did have only minor problems with his door knob. He wouldn't discuss how he got it to turn for him either.

He didn't care about unpacking. He just set his stuff wherever and tossed himself down onto his bed. More privacy was better but damn, he didn't have anyone to be private with. What the hell?

He was restless and bored and thought about his workshops today. They were made of awesomeness.

Still..."Ahhh, screw it." He dug through a bag and pulled out his toy. The thing. Then he made it talk, 'It's clobberin' time'.

The Thing went quickly behind his back and he sat up, "Uh, great! Hey, Charlie!"

Charlie came in, looking curiously at the arm behind his back. "What have you got back there?" she teased. "Or do I not want to know? Is this a guy thing that I shouldn't know about you?"

He chuckled and looked mildly embarrassed, but he so kept his hand behind his back, "No guy thing. Just, uh, something I appease my boredome with every once in a while."

"A Slinky? Or a video game?" Charlie grinned and looked around the room, letting it drop. "Who are you rooming with? I'm up in 419 with Carmela."

'It's Clobberin' Time' accidentally played off behind Johnny's back, and he shoved the toy under his pillow. "Edward Elric, you know him? And you're up a floor from me...aww, I just can't sneak in and see you so easily then." He teased. "Carmela. Don't think I've met her."

Charlie stopped, and sneaked a look at Johnny's pillow, then just kind of waaaandered over there. "Aww. And yeah, Carmela's really nice, she's in my Art class, so I got to know her the past couple weeks... I don't know Edward, but then, I still don't know half the people here." She grinned, getting ready to pounce. "Carmela talks to our mini-fridge."

"Same with me. I still don't know a ton of them. Seems I forget names easily too," he admitted, watching Charlie sneak closer to him. If she wasn't careful, he'd pounce on her first. "What? Did you say she talks to your mini-fridge?"

"Yup. It wants to get a tan."

Pounce! Charlie aimed for his arm, giggling uncontrollably. "Surrenderrrr!'

"A ta--Oooh heyyyy!" He laughed and went to grab her around her waist enabling her hand to connect with his toy.

"What is this? It's an action figure!" Charlie waved the Thing doll over her head, giggling. "What's his name, Johnny?" She tried to break away, but the laughter and being off-balance made it a half-hearted effort at best.

He tried to reach for it and contain her at the same time, which really didn't work all too well. He would have stood but Charlie was almost in his lap. "It's...I call him The Thing." He said with slight humiliation at being caught playing with a toy. "It's not what you think though! It's a...stress reliever!"

"A stress reliever?" Charlie was still giggling, but more from being in a good mood than at Johnny. "The Thing. Hello, Thing." She danced him up Johnny's arm, pleased with herself. "Where did you get him?"

"Home. He's a replica of Ben, one of the Fantastic Four." Johnny grinned a little at her playing and he reached over and pressed the button on the back of The Thing. "'It's Clobberin' Time'." He shrugged, "I managed to sneak this one away without Ben knowing. He hates it."

"I think he's cute." Charlie smiled, studying the doll. "Does he really look like this sometimes? When he's being a superhero, and you're doing your fiery flying thing?"

"Sometimes? No, he looks like that all the time." Johnny chuckled at her and commented further, "Look, he has no ears."

"Seriously?" Charlie patted the Thing's head. "Poor Ben. No wonder he hates it. That can't be fun." She tilted her head and squinted at the doll. "Is that accurate? I mean, no ears? Really?"

"Ah, they're in there somewhere in that rock that is his head." Johnny loved making fun of Ben. "And he's pretty okay now, got hooked up with some blind chick," he couldn't help but snicker at that.

Charlie glared at him, then took the doll and cuddled it. "You're mean, Johnny. You'd hate looking like rock if it were you. Don't listen to him," she told the action figure. "He's just being dense without being rock."

He tried hard not to laugh, really. Charlie's glare at him was even cute. Was there nothing not cute about this girl? "Are you...talking to my toy?"

Charlie looked embarrassed. "I guess?" She hugged the Thing. "Seriously, though--"

She accidentally hit the button, and "IT'S CLOBBERING TIME!" sang out Ben. She blinked. "--who made this toy?"

Johnny couldn't help it, he laughed as she hugged it. "Do you want my Thing toy, Charlie?"

He shrugged, "The maker of...toys?" Cause if he knew he forgot. Like it wasn't important or something. and mun will have to watch movie again to see if they say, yes!

Charlie started giggling. "That sound so wrong! Wrong." She snickered, then hugged the toy again before giving Ben back. "No, just don't make fun of the ear-challenged, it's mean. Did they make a Johnny toy?"

Okay, and that sounded wrong too, and she started giggling again.

"Ear challenged? I would consider Ben brain challenged, but hey, that's just me," he snickered, grinning at her.

Charlie was in a good mood, Johnny noted, and he was very much enjoying it. "If they did, would you want one? So you could hug it and push the button that says two things, 'FLAME ON' and 'The Ladies call me Torch'." There wasn't one but he thought it sounded great. They should totally make a toy of him.

Charlie shook her head at Johnny again, but not knowing Ben at all, didn't push it. "I might. I could dangle it out the window," she teased, "If you got out of line. That could be fun."

"But then I could just fly free," he pointed out, teasing. "Gotta do better than threaten to dangle me, Charlie."
