Minotaur cabin, early Wednesday evening

Johnny had done his best to lay low all day, and really he had done a pretty good job of it. Even now as he neared the cabin door, he kept his head slightly lowered, his body posture uninviting to ward off any that might want to question him about yesterday's events. He didn't feel like talking about it. He wouldn't talk about it. Nope.

Of course, there was Charlie. He had to tell her he was sorry for the way he had acted. And then there was Ronan and...

Johnny swiped his hand over his face then raised his knuckles to the door, giving it a good solid knock.

His eyes scanned around the cabin as he walked in. He really didn't want to talk to anyone else. Reaching up, he rubbed his neck, "Yeah, I'm good. How you doing?"

"I'm good, great, even. I had a good time in Blowing Stuff Up yesterday." She finished putting drinks in the cooler, and tentatively said, "You looked really good yesterday." Charlie's lips twitched. "Just a little... uh..." Wired? Buzzed? "Off."

She got up and walked over to him, holding out her hand. "So. Movie?"

Ahh, man. Johnny tried hard not to appear uncomfortable, but he felt his cheeks grow warm as he offered her some sort of an apology. "About yesterday...Charlie, I wasn't...myself. I don't know how to explain it. I'm really sorry..."

He couldn't quite meet her eyes when she walked over to him, but he did take her hand.

"What was that? Did you get bit by one of those gremlins?" Charlie asked, squeezing his hand as they headed for the door. "Because I thought it would be more obvious and silly. You were just kind of weird."

Johnny sort of snorted, but it was a humliating sort of snort, "Uh, no. I mean I looked for a bite and couldn't find one. I almost wish I had of been bitten, that way my actions would be covered." He glanced down at her and just now thought to take the cooler from her other hand, "Sorry."

He was a jumble of nerves tonight, that was for certain. Once outdoors, he held tighter to her hand, and stared forward.

Well, this was awkward. Poor Johnny. "You don't have that much to apologize for, not to me. You got a little frisky, that's all." She smiled, swinging his hand, remembering what she'd heard on the Radio. "At least between art class and Ronan, you can't be afraid of glitter now, right?"

He smiled slightly, appreciating her all the more, "I'm sorry for being frisky, Charlie. I'm not so normally...frisky." He could be he guessed, if he was with certain types of girls. Charlie? He knew was not that type of girl.

At the mentioning of Ronan's name, Johnny flailed inside and swung her hand faster without realizing he was doing it, "Uhh, about Ronan...uh..." Ahhh, man! What could he say to that? "I'm not afraid of glitter anymore, but I don't think I will be playing with it again any time soon."

"Did it get awkward or something?" Charlie asked, looking sympathetic. "Or are you just worried about apologizing to him today, too?"

"I don't think I should see him today," he replied quickly. "He's uh, probably busy doing...his...wizardy magic shield thingy." Keep cool...keep cool...

"It's a nice evening, isn't it? Very pleasant. The grass is really green."

"You don't have to be embarassed," Charlie said quickly. "It happens to a lot of people. We won't talk about it any more, though, if you don't want to." She smiled at him again, hopefully. "Do you know what the movie that's playing is?"

"I'll try, Charlie. It might take a few more minutes, so bare with me," he smiled but then said with all the seriouness he could muster, "If you have questions or if you want to know...anything. Just ask me. I'll work my way around the embarrassment issue."

He squeezed her fingers gently, "I have no idea, but we are soon to find out ."
