Johnny was chilling by watching a bit of TV, but he was rather anxious for Savannah to hurry up and get her butt over to him. He knew she had rehearsal and he was wearing patience pretty well. But damn if she shouldn't be here by now.

"What the hell? Why didn't you knock the director on his ass?" Because yeah, that's how Johnny would have handled it.

"I was very nearly going to throw him through the wall when Edward threatened to run him through."

Johnny tried not to make a noise, but his lips twitched, and the amusement was obvious in his tone. "Run him through? You're kidding right?"

"I really wish I was joking." She sighed. "I was getting yelled and screamed at and I guess he took offense."

"I think I like this Edward," he said. "You'll tell him that for me, will you? And that if he wants to follow you around all the time, hey, that'd be great too."

"I should be there soon, sweetheart. I just don't want Edward to pay for defending me."

She swallowed. "I need to talk to you and I need you to hold me while I do."

He did not forget about the reason why he had come here.

"Take care of your friend, Savannah. I'm sorry you had to deal with an asshole today. I'll be here when you're ready."

"I think I would have started crying if Edward hadn't been there." She said. "If that happened, I think Karla would have hurt him."

"Aw, sweetheart. If I could come over there, I'd pound the man. I shouldn't be jealous of Edward, should I?" he half teased, trying to lighten her mood a bit.

"No, no jealousy," she said in a soft voice. "It looks like Sean is here so I'll see you in twenty minutes?"
