Rm 217 - Monday after work and classes

Coming down from working on the senior project, Johnny showered, dressed, and sat on his bed. He needed to talk to Savannah and he'd put it off for far too long. He was bracing himself for an argument because he knew she was going to be upset and he assumed pissed that he was leaving early.

So yeah, he had some explaining to do.

It wasn't comforting; not with the year they'd had.

He breathed out slowly and held her close. "It will fly by, seriously. You'll be with me again before you know it, sweetheart."

Savannah nodded against him. "It will. Soon it will be graduation for me and then no more having to live so far apart."

"See? You'll be fine. And you know, we've got time to say our goodbye's. Let's save the tears for that say, hm?"

"I'm not going to fall apart on you," she whispered, hugging him.

Uh huh. Sure.

"You won't," he agreed. "You're too strong for that."

He was trying to believe it.

"Of course I am," Savannah agreed, not moving away from him. "I'll be fine."

Johnny might need to get Savannah a boat for the nice little trip on River Denial she was taking.

He knew it. He knew it yet was afraid to steer her away from that river. He wasn't sure he could take the emotional break down yet.

"You'll be fine," he assured her. "We both will."

Savannah nodded and then looked into his face, doing her best to drop a mental mask over her eyes and hide the emotions there.

"Of course we will be. We're just damn awesome that way."
