After kicking angel ass, because yes, that is what he referred it to, Johnny came back to his room to wait for Savannah. This had to work, right? She was coming back and everything was going to be fine.

Well, it would be fine after he kicked her ass. Then he would hold her forever and not let go.

It's just the way things were going to be.

He was more than a tad anxious.

"I love you, Johnny, love you so much." She leaned into his hands, just needing to feel him touching her.

"I'm not strong," she said honestly. "I cried every day."

That was hard to handle, knowing that she cried everyday, and he choked up, unable to respond to that so instead he buried his face in her hair, her neck, inhaling the scent of her that was all too familiar.

Savannah turned in his lap and held onto him tightly. "Not going to leave you," she promised. "Not going to get separated again."
