Rm 217, Early Saturday evening

Johnny was leaning against the wall, near to Savannah, watching her as she finished getting ready for their evening out. She was so beautiful; everything about her, and he thought he didn't tell her enough. It wasn't just the outter shell, but who she was inside and more that not did he often feel he wasn't worthy of any devotion on her part. He was a cocky, arrogant, hot headed bastard and he knew it. But, he did love her and if he loved her then there had to be something good inside of him. Sue knew it was there; told him he just needed to grow up and then he would settle into it. Johnny wasn't so sure. He just knew he wasn't giving up Savannah any time soon. Possibly never.

"I spoke with Sue last night," he said, making easy conversation as Savannah applied gloss to her lips. "Seems that press conference is being planned so I'll have to head home for a weekend here soon. You still up for going with me?"

Savannah turned from the mirror to smile at him. There were times that she was positive she could just sit and look at him. He was gorgeous as hell and his eyes seemed to see everything... and show a great deal as well. She loved him -- everything about him -- and she would never stop telling him or showing him that.

"Of course I'd like to go with you, Johny, if you still want me to."

"Sue kind of demanded that I bring you," he quirked a grin. "She can't believe that I've maintained having a girlfriend for this long."

"I don't understand why she thinks that is such a surprise," she said in a puzzled voice. She grinned. "Then again, Adam can't believe I haven't annoyed the hell out of you by now."

Johnny understood it perfectly but there was no reason to elaborate. Evidently Savannah saw past his ego.

He arched a brow. "Adam?"

"Mmm hmm," Savannah murmured, moving a brush through her hair one final time before smiling at him. "Adam Vasic, Paige's best friend. I thing you might have met him at Stonehaven." She wrinkled her nose. "Calls me Savvy."

"Ah, yeah," Johnny was jealous of anyone and everyone from Savannah's home frame. Okay, Johnny was jealous of everyone oh my god. He just wrinkled his brow and watched her. "Savvy. What a stupid name."

"I don't even remember when he started calling me that or why. I think I was thirteen when he did it."

"Huh," he said, scuffing the toe of his shoe along the floor.

"You look pretty tonight."

Savannah gave him a smile of pure pleasure, and a slight blushed tinged her cheeks.

"Thank you, love," she said softly.

"You ever wish you were single? I mean, here you are in high school, super hot, can date anyone you want pretty much, and you're saddled with me. You ever doubt yourself, Savannah?"

Johnny was in a reflective sort of mood tonight. Who knows why.

Savannah stopped everything she was doing to give her full and complete attention to Johnny.

"What would make you ask if wished I was single? I am in love with the most fantastic, amazing man that I would do anything in my power to make him happy. I don't feel saddled with you, Johnny. I feel I have been lucky enough to have been given a powerful gift like your heart and your love."

Johnny was completely humbled by her words and he looked down, at the floor, an embarrassed sort of smile on his face. "You are so amazing..."

Savannah moved closer and took his hand. "I'm very happy with you, Johnny, with whom I want to be."

Of course, now she wondered if he was having those thoughts.

He wasn't. At all. He loved her and he ran his thumb over the back of her hand, looking down into her lovely eyes. "Good. You're stuck with me for a good long while, sweetheart." He bent and brushed his lips across hers. "Ready to go yet?"
