First of all, Johnny thought being shirtless for Savannah would help with his, "I'm sorry I called you a whore." Second, he thought filling the room with roses would be perfect.

While she was not yet home, he settled red roses everywhere; in vases, in pretty wrapped tissue, in boxes, strewn thornless all over the bed. Yep. Everywhere.

Next he stuck Marvin Gaye into the cd player and stood back and considered his work.

"Oh god. She's going to think I just want sex."

Savannah came in from work and stopped inside the door. She stared at all of the roses and then looked at Johnny. She was confused, but noted that he was no longer wearing a cowboy hat. This had to mean that he was no longer possessed.

However...

"If you call me a whore again, Cowboy, I'm setting important parts of you on fire."

She was still by the door in case she had to make a quick getaway.

"Johnny?" Savannah's voice softened and was a little hesitant. "Are you really you again?" She was going to be really pissed if he wasn't and he had Chris hiding somewhere.

"Yeah, it's me," he said and took a small step towards her. "Savannah, god, I'm sorry. I really am. I never would have called you a whore."

Savannah looked at him for a long moment and then stepped to him, touching his arm. "It really is you."

That small touch to his arm wasn't enough but Johnny remained still until she believed him. "I'm not a gay cowboy anymore, sweetheart. I promise."

Savannah ran her hand up his arm and then stepped closer, laying her head against his chest.

His arms went around her and he pulled her close. "I'm sorry. Really. I'd never hurt you on purpose. Chris and I, we were just out to round up some cattle."

Savannah let out a breath and then hugged him. "I know you wouldn't hurt me on purpose. I'm sorry I slapped you so hard."

"I deserved it," he said quickly. "Some random Fandom weirdness. That's all." He bent his head slightly and kissed near her temple. "...I didn't listen to the radio last night... did you?"

She nodded. "I heard the radio. It's... probably good that you didn't."

He sighed. "We didn't... you know... woke up with my pants on and everything."

"I'm glad and I know that sounds bitchy but..." She sighed. "I'm glad."

"It doesn't sound bitchy at all," he said, stepping back and taking her hand to lead her to the bed to sit. "I mean, come on, I would be a little upset were I you if it was the other way around."

"I may have had to kill you both." She was joking.

Eve and Sean would have done it.

She went with him and picked up one of the roses, sniffing it.

"Where did you find so many red roses?"

He grinned, though only very slightly, allowing his eyes to slip over her lovely form.

"Sweetheart, do you forget who I am? I know people."

She shook her head and then gave him a serious look. "No matter what, no matter where, I could never forget who you are, love." She ran a hand down his arm, reassuring herself he was really there.

She smiled. "You didn't have to do all of this."

But she was really touched that he had gone through all of this trouble.

Johnny took her face between his hands and bent, kissing her softly, whispering against her lips, "Yes, I did. I love you."

She always liked the way it felt when he kissed her.

Johnny's mouth took liberty of her own and his tongue came forward to stroke and tempt along her bottom lip. "Mmm, you taste so damn good. I missed you last night."

She parted her lips beneath his even more and ran her hands along his bare back. "I missed you, too."

She wasn't about to tell him she had stayed elsewhere last night.

He kissed her deeply, passionately, taking control of her small body against his while his mouth loved upon her own.

Oooh! He would want to know where she stayed!

Savannah made a soft whimper and pressed closer to him, just wanting to hold him and kiss him.

"We're you lonely for me last night," he asked between kisses, moving them to lay down on their bed.

"Missed you," she admitted kissing him. "Couldn't stay here. Stayed handwavily at the store."

That? Had him pausing and rearing back to look at her. "You... stayed at the store?"

She bit her lip. "Yeah. Sean has a cot in the back. It wasn't like I wanted to stay here and had I told mom what happened..."

Johnny groaned. "Ah, god, so they know? Both Sean and Eve? Ahh, hell..."

She shook her head. "Johnny... had I told them, you and Chris would be in a bit of pain..."

Okay. Okay. He relaxed some. "Think they listened to the radio?" Johnny didn't want to come unexpectedly upon an ass kicking.

"Good," he said and curled her up against him. "All's cool then?"

"You weren't really you," she said softly, curling close and kissing his chest. "All's cool with us."

"Good," he repeated, stroking his hand down her back. "We has good intentions, before all of this weirdness... Chris and me. We were planning a double date."

She purred a little when he did that.

"A double date?"
