Baxter Building; Johnny's Apt. NYC - Thursday early evening

With Savannah having had things to do for the day, this left Johnny to his own devilish (yes, devilish) devices. Which almost always involved The Thing. Or Ben as he liked to be called. Ahem. Whatever. The day had been gloriously filled with the totally awesome of awesome pranks. One after another, and the stupid rock fell for each and evey one.

Wasn't Johnny's fault the big boulder lacked proper functioning brains.

But as the last came to an end. Johnny figured he better quit while he was ahead so he locked (double locked) the front door to his and Savannah's place. He wasn't worried. Not a bit. Locked doors just meant privacy.

Settling on the sofa with a six pack, he became totally engrossed in ESPN while waiting on his girl to get her butt back home.

[OOC: Open for his girl, phone calls, texts, whatever, yo!]

"When my other options are a six-page paper or potentially firing a moron, yes. Yes, you are that awesome."

She gave him grief a lot. It was how they worked.

He slouched further on the sofa and took a long pull off his beer. "Huh." He was smart like that. "Want me to come kick some moron ass for you?"

'Cause he's not gotten to do that lately.

"I don't think so. Not yet, anyway," Eve replied, propping her feet up on the desk. "But if that becomes necessary, you are so the first person I'm calling."

"Excellent," he said, eyes on the big screen. "So what's been going on over that way? Come on, sweetheart, give me something exciting. I've... kind of had a boring day myself."

Ben's shouts beyond the doorway meant nothing. Nothing.

Eve could vaguely hear Ben's shouting.

"Yes, it sounds so dreadfully boring," she said dryly. "Uh, let's see... I don't know about exciting, but apparently Sean's mother showed up for Parents Weekend a few weeks ago and was a royal bitch to him and Annja."

Hey, family gossip was about the best she could do in the way of exciting.

Gossip was good. He could work with gossip.

"That sucks," he replied, finishing off his first beer as picture frames rattled against the wall. Ben had a mean fist. Johnny grinned.

"Sean do something to piss her off or is she just a bitch in general?"

"Bitch in general," Eve replied. "Always has been, ever since I was with Kris. So she gets points for being consistent, but loses them for being a complete bitch to Sean in the first place."

"So what'd he do about it?" he asked, curious about Sean's nature towards his own mom. Johnny could guess, but then he'd be... well, guessing.

"In that quiet way of his, pretty much told her to pound sand," Eve said, and there was no mistaking the proud tone in her voice. Sean wasn't hers, but he was still family.

"Awesome," he responded, picturing the resolute look on Sean's face. "Tell him when you see him next to get his lazy ass over here. I miss him."

JOHNNY!

Yeah, that was Ben yelling outside his door.

"And you too for that matter," he practically whispered, muting the t.v.

"You got it," Eve said, not bothering to hide her laughter. "Hey, Fandom's got Homecoming this weekend, I think it is. I can't remember, I have the attention span of an amoeba right now, damn work. But yeah. Homecoming. We should all get together at some point."
