Rm 217, Late Sunday morning

Johnny slept good last night curled up around his girlfriend. They might not have actually fallen asleep until late but hey, it was all good. If you know what I mean. 

As it was, the sun was up and shining through their window, slowly making him stir and come to life. That was about the time he noticed that something just didn't seem right...

Savannah was there and she was warm and he moved closer to her, slowly blinking his eyes open to realize that Oh. My. God. his girlfriend was a freaking giant! Muttering and sputtering, Johnny tried to scramble...

Wait... Scramble? No. No. No... he's never hiccupped fire before. A tiny puff of flame came from his mouth as he tried to make a noise, any noise, to wake Savannah up.

Then he flapped his wings.

WINGS! Oh my god no. Come on!

Savannah had been cozy and warm while Johnny held her all night -- after they had finally gone to sleep. She wasn't complaining about the late night at all, though.

She turned her head when she felt movement and opened her eyes to greet her boyfriend. Then she froze and her eyes widened when she saw the dragon.

"Uhmm... hello?"

Dragon!Johnny flapped his wings and pranced around, turning in a circle. Then he sputtered a tiny puff of fire at her, blinking his eyes in confusion.

"Johnny! Oh my gods, Johnny, what happened?!"

She sat up and opened her arms so he could come get into her lap if he wanted to.

Feeling a little scared, dragon!Johnny came forward, his nose bent low as he hopped up onto her lap. Then he craned his head to peer up at her and folded his wings in against his sides. "Eeee," that tiny little noise from him sounded just so unmanly.

What the hell?

She remembered feeling a little scared when she found herself as a panther cub.

She held him gently and kissed the top of his head. "Don't worry, love. We'll figure out what happened and get this fixed. I'll take care of you and keep you safe."

He cocked his head, his eyes on hers, and he didn't want to be left alone. Something... someone... would eat him! Why couldn't he have been a huge dragon! Man, how cool.

"Eeee, eeee... " he sneezed and ohh, fire when he sneezed.

Savannah giggled at the fire sneeze and ran her hand along his neck gently.

"You do realize I'll have to take you everywhere with me? I don't want anything happening to the man I love while I'm trying to fix this for you."

"Eeee! Eeee!" Yes! That was exactly what he wanted and his wings unfurled and he lifted up into the air slightly before he dropped back onto her lap.

I can freaking fly!

"Then we'll make sure yu're always with me. You're small enough you could probably sit on my shoulder and keep yurself attached with your tail around my neck...or something. Unless you want to ride in one of my big beach bags?"

She thought it was pretty cool that he culd fly.

No. No. He wanted to be close to her. Dragon!Johnny proved just this by hopping up along her arm, careful that his talons didn't dig in too roughly, and settled atop her shoulder, wrapping his tail around her. He did nuzzle in against her neck though, letting her know he loved her.

Savannah smiled as he got himself settled. "Then it's settled. Anytime we're having to be out wandering around, that's your place. And I love you, too, sweetheart."

Truthfully there was no way she would have let him ride in a beachbag. She wanted him close so she knew where he was and that he was okay.

Dragon!Johnny scooted in closer, under a silky wave of hair, resting against her neck quietly.

Savannah reached up to stroke him comfortingly. "We'll fix this, baby. I promise."

He didn't make any noise, just remained still and being comforted by the fact that she understood and that she cared and would keep him safe.

She did understand, and she knew how close of an eye he had kept on her when she was a panther cub. Also, human or dragon, this was her Johnny and she'd be damned if anything was going to be allowed to hurt him.
