Basilisk living room - Thursday night

Coming into the living room, Johnny picked up the remote control and started channel surfing. Yes, he was shirtless. He was going for the fashion trend that was apparently Fandom. Nahhh, really it's just cause it was comfortable.

But if someone tried to throw glitter on him, he might have to throw a fit or something and that would totally ruin his good mood.

"I need some popcorn."

(open for any cabin mates or just anyone who might want to stop by.)

Wait. What?

"Dude," he said with an eyebrow lift, "Was I uh, flirting just now?"

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 11:24 am (UTC)(link)
"Unless posing like you're in an Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue is normal, kinda."

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 12:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Johnny looked down at himself, then back at Teddy, "Just relaxing, Teddy." In a totally hot way that was so very normal for Johnny.

Had Teddy been checking him out?

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Well Teddy did have eyes. And hormones. And, come on, shirtless Johnny! Even straight guys would check that out.

"Shirtless. In the living room."

"Dude, it's my cabin. And what? You're not a fan of comfy?"

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 08:36 pm (UTC)(link)
"Well my idea of comfy isn't really hanging out shirtless."

Mostly because that would get him jumped by Chad and dragged off to an alcove for the evening.

Which made Teddy want to take off his shirt now.

"Not to mention that it's kinda distracting."

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Johnny looked down at himself again. Then looked back at Teddy.

He might be a little confused, "I'm sorry. I can run put my shirt on; don't mean to make you uncomfortable. Just had a shower and just threw my jeans on, thinking nothing of it." And now Johnny might feel the tiniest bit insecure around Teddy. He must think he looked bad or...something.

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Teddy blinked. "I meant in the wow, that's nice looking way."

"Not that I have a thing for you or anything," He added quickly. "I mean, everyone would think that. If the couch was alive, it would also think you're hot and oh crap this is Fandom and I just cursed us with sentient furniture."

He covered his face with his hands. "I'm gonna just stop talking now."

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 08:55 pm (UTC)(link)
You'd think Johnny might be a little unnerved at Teddy's roundabout confession, since he was totally into chicks. But he wasn't. In fact he felt a little smug, maybe a little awed too.

No guy had ever said anything like that to him before. It was...interesting to say the least.

Grinning, he said, "Thanks for the compliment, Teddy. You had me a little worried there, thinking something was wrong with me." Then he petted the couch, "Don't worry, I don't think the furniture plans on coming alive anytime soon." Which he might live to regret those words one day.

"Give it time, this place has a tendency of doing things like that. My collection of Bitter Woman comics once got turned into pie. And then there was the time everyone's books started attacking them during finals week," Teddy replied, jumping on that last bit of what Johnny said. It was so much better than talking about thinking he was hot.

Man he hoped Chad wasn't the jealous type.

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
"Dude, that is really freaking me out. I thought I'd heard just about all there was to hear on the oddities of Fandom..." Just when he thought he was fitting in, that he could deal with everything, a new story popped up.

Running his hand over his face, Johnny slouched on the couch, grumbling. "I could use a little excitment about right now."

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)
"If it helps, the pie was pretty good," Teddy said, wincing at the needing excitement. If they got invade by something, he'd know who to blame. "And think of it as preparing you for craziness back home. If you can get used to this, nothing else can really be all that weird."

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 09:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"I do like pie," Johnny said thoughtfully. "Actually I love pie. Wouldn't mind having some pie right now."

He locked eyes with Teddy, "That is a very valid point. I'll remember it when wackiness comes to smack me in the face."

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 09:37 pm (UTC)(link)
"Welcome to Fandom, where you'll start to get apathetic about alien invasion," Teddy said with a grin.

"Have you gone to Jeff, God of Biscuits yet? They have awesome pie there."

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
He snickered, "Thanks, Teddy. And no, I haven't been there yet but I am definitely making a point of going if they have awesome pie." But he whined a little, cause right now he was pie-less.

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Poor, poor pie-less Johnny Storm. Maybe Teddy would bring some back to the cabin tomorrow.

"Oh! Stop by Sparky Repairs Tuesday of Wednesday and I can show you the robots there. They're kinda like A.I. only less high tech."

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, that had Johnny perking up, pie forgotten. "No way!" He excelled in auto mechanics, but generally mechanics of any kind intrigued him.

"Tuesday I'll come by. Got a job at the Photo Hut and work Wednesdays."

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"They're pretty cool," Teddy said. Then thought about it and added, "When they listen to me. Goth has a tendency to look smug when I try to fix things more complicated than a toaster."

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 10:20 pm (UTC)(link)
"How many are there?" He asked, interested.

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
"It's usually just Emo and Goth up front in the store, but Agatha has a bunch of them in back."

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 10:44 pm (UTC)(link)
"Are they cool, I mean do you ever have any problems with them?" There were too many movies out there with robots gone bad. So his curiosity is sound, really.

[identity profile] notthehulk.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"Nope, no Ultron level badness there."

Hey, Teddy knew evil robots outside of movies, he'd know if Emo and Goth were trying to kill all humans.

[identity profile] fantastic-torch.livejournal.com 2007-05-18 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)
He nodded, "I'm so coming to check them out, Tuesday."
