Basilisk living room - Thursday night

Coming into the living room, Johnny picked up the remote control and started channel surfing. Yes, he was shirtless. He was going for the fashion trend that was apparently Fandom. Nahhh, really it's just cause it was comfortable. 

But if someone tried to throw glitter on him, he might have to throw a fit or something and that would totally ruin his good mood.

"I need some popcorn."

"Hey, Teddy," Johnny said, then shrugged. "I dunno, just surfin'. You're more than welcome to the control." He cocked a curious brow, ready to toss it to him did he want it.

Teddy shook his head, grabbing a seat on the couch. "I usually just put the Discovery channel on and hope for something interesting. Whatever you want is fine."

"Discovery's good." He turned it there and set the control aside. "So how's things going?"

"I got made the TA in Arts & Crafts," Teddy replied, way too excited over that. There might have even been a geeky little bounce over it.

Because, dude, Captain America!

"Really?" Johnny wondered over that bouncy bounce with excitement. "Like the glitter do you, Teddy?"

"Huh?" Teddy shook his head. "No, the teacher? He's Captain America, like the first super hero ever! This is gonna be so cool!"

He leaned forward, bracing his elbows on his knees, "The first superhero ever?" Johnny should have made a point to meet this teacher the other day.

"Pretty much." Oh yes, this was even worse than learning he was rooming with the Human Torch. "From World War II."

"Damn. That's pretty...awesome." And now Johnny felt like showing off. Yes. Cause he could.

Because he was Johnny Storm and that's what he did.

"Isn't it?" Now he hoped the gleeful bouncing, which didn't happen, was understandable. "So how have your workshops been so far?"

Johnny kept playing with his flaming hand, the light from it looked good bouncing off his shirtlessness.

"I'm going to make a point of meeting him next class, that's for sure." Grinning, he said, "They're great actually. I'm looking forward to tomorrow though. Flight and Flying has got to be awesome!"

And it wasn't disctracting at all. Nope. Not at all.

Except it was.

"As in flying planes?"

Johnny slouched, bending his knees to prop his feet up, getting comfy, "Dude, I totally hope that's what the class is about." He cut his eyes at Teddy, smirking, "I might know a little about aircraft."

The bragging was kinda cute. Stupid, but cute.

"Really?" Teddy asked, rolling his eyes.

Hey, that was Johnny for you. Ever the charming let's talk about me, k?

But he caught that eye roll. "What?"

And with a body like that, it worked for him.

"Nothing," Teddy replied, smirking at him. "Do you just flirt unconsciously or something?"

Um. Did he?

"It's all good, right?" It was all he could think of to say.

Teddy couldn't help but laugh at that. "As long as it's just that, sure."

"Dude," he said with an eyebrow lift, "Was I uh, flirting just now?"

"Unless posing like you're in an Abercrombie & Fitch catalogue is normal, kinda."

Johnny looked down at himself, then back at Teddy, "Just relaxing, Teddy." In a totally hot way that was so very normal for Johnny.

Had Teddy been checking him out?

Well Teddy did have eyes. And hormones. And, come on, shirtless Johnny! Even straight guys would check that out.

"Shirtless. In the living room."

"Dude, it's my cabin. And what? You're not a fan of comfy?"

"Well my idea of comfy isn't really hanging out shirtless."

Mostly because that would get him jumped by Chad and dragged off to an alcove for the evening.

Which made Teddy want to take off his shirt now.

"Not to mention that it's kinda distracting."

Johnny looked down at himself again. Then looked back at Teddy.

He might be a little confused, "I'm sorry. I can run put my shirt on; don't mean to make you uncomfortable. Just had a shower and just threw my jeans on, thinking nothing of it." And now Johnny might feel the tiniest bit insecure around Teddy. He must think he looked bad or...something.
