Rm 217, Tuesday after classes

To say that radio hadn't bothered him, was an understatement. It had really pissed him off to know that Savannah had blabbered her mouth to practically everyone. Might as well have considering who all knew now.

Whatever, he went to her karaoke class anyway and watched her perform. After that he took off. He didn't bother to go to her cheerleading practice like he normally would have. Instead he came back to the dorms, took a shower, halfway dressed, and grabbed a beer from the mini-fridge.

Parking his butt in a chair, he turned on the TV and started flipping through channels.

[Door is open, as is the post. ETA: Savannah & Johnny's convo is NFB. Anyone that comes visiting or to kick his ass, does so after Savannah's already come and gone.]

Suddenly something he'd said earlier struck her. "Wait... what do you mean you could take the beds apart and I could stay here? Wouldn't Savannah have a problem with that?"

Yes. Yes she would. "No, I'm sure she wouldn't."

"One bed's a little cramped for the two of you..."

"Uh, yeah, about that. See... she's not staying here. Currently."

Lana blinked. "Sounds like I should be asking you what's wrong. So... what's going on?"

"We're taking a little break," he replied.

"God, Johnny, I'm so sorry," Lana said, looking chagrined. "I was so caught up in my own stuff... That's why you were out drinking last night?"

"A lot of it, yeah, and don't worry about it, Lana. Savannah is telling enough people for the both of us." Johnny was a bit bitter about that too.

"I'm glad to listen if you want to talk," she offered.

"I know, and I appreciate it, but it's not really how I work. Nothing against you but I don't think it's fair to Savannah to talk about our problems." Yeah, really bitter.

She nodded. "I respect that, but the offer's there. It's the least I can do after how good you've been to me."

He smiled at her, a small smile. "You're great Lana, you really are. But... maybe I should take back my offer. Least for now. I mean, the break-up, it's not official or anything like that and I wouldn't want Savannah coming after you when it's not your fault, you kow?"

"I wouldn't stay anyway," she said quietly. "I already said it wouldn't be a good idea and I still feel that way. Even if Savannah was going to be here I still wouldn't. Between needing the lights on and the nightmares when I do sleep... Thanks, but I'm better on my own."

"I'm sorry," he said quietly. "I don't know what else to do, sweetheart."

"You've done a lot and I appreciate it," Lana said gently. "Thank you. And good luck with Savannah."

He leaned towards her, opening his arms if she would accept a hug from him.

She was more than happy to accept a hug from him. In fact, she could probably use all the comfort she could get.

Johnny hugged her tight, holding her tight, letting her know in no amount of words that he was there for her.

She held onto him for a long moment, then finally pulled away with some reluctance. "I'd better go," she said. "But you know where to find me if you need anything."

"And you know where to find me."

"Thanks," she said with a small smile and slipped out of the room as quietly as she'd entered it.
