Savannah swallowed. "I remember every minute of every day of those nine months I was away from you, Johnny. The first few days were harder than anything because I kept using any spell I could think of to try to do something to get us back to you -- but I would up burning myself out and just being so angry and upset. It was hard to keep my emotions and my powers under control like that." She looked up into his face again. "If it wasn't for Wyatt... I honestly don't know what would have happened, Johnny. He kept me from melting down and getting into too much trouble..." Well, if you didn't count that demon nest... oh and the mummy... and that book she almost opened...
She sighed softly. "I finally got a job as a hostess at a bar-type thing. Dressing up in the clothing of that time and serving drinks while we kept doing research and trying to find a way back home..." She had tears sliding down her face. "I spent your birthday at one of the tombs in the Valley of the Kings wondering if some of their curses and magic could bring me back to you for your birthday..."
